What I like most about Geneva is that it feels like you are in Paris but you are not in Paris. All the locals speak meanly French. The little cafe at the corner or the lights around the city just remind me of Paris, except it does not have the rudeness of the locals. People are just friendlier in Geneva. Great city to visit...below are some suggestions:
- Jet d'Eau - this famous fountain is the trademark of the city and it is visible for miles.
- Flower Clock (English Garden) - the clock's face is made of landscaped beds of flowers. Of course not in the winter season.
- Rue du Rhone - famous shopping street, filled with world's most luxurious brands.
- Geneva's old town -upscale residential neighborhood features incredible art galleries, interior design stores and antique shops.
- Cathedral of Saint Pierre
- The Arsenal - the structure dates from 1634, in the courtyard of the building is a cannon that was cast in 1683
- Lake Geneva (Lac Leman) - Lake wraps around Geneva in a horseshoe fashion
- CERN - nuclear research center, takes about 3 hrs for the free tour
